The American public's concern with deficits and debt is growing rapidly

The President's proposed deficit spending over the next decade is not sitting well with many Americans. Something needs to be done to stop this country's headlong run into bankruptcy. That's why it's important we elect real conservatives to Congress in the 2010 midterm elections.

William Galston, in the New Republic, writes of the growing concern and what could happen if we don't get all this deficit spending under control:

As several recent surveys make clear, concern about deficits and debt is rising sharply. An NBC/Wall Street Journal survey conducted in early May showed that the share of individuals rating “the deficit and government spending” as the top priority for the federal government to address has jumped since January from 13 to 20 percent — second only to job creation and economic growth.
