Arizona's new law

Due to the federal government's open borders policy, violent drug cartels have made Phoenix the kidnapping capital of the United States. But rather than strengthen border enforcement, the Obama administration has stopped construction of the "virtual fence", demonstrating the federal government's lack of intention to enforce the border. Here's Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, via the Washington Examiner:

"We in Arizona have been more than patient waiting for Washington to act," Gov. Brewer said shortly after signing the new law, which goes into effect this summer. Predictably enough, she is being vilified in the same Washington that can't be bothered with fulfilling its most basic duty -- protecting the nation's international borders.
