Three Republicans line up to run against California Senator Barbara Boxer

The three candidates are California Assemblyman Chuck DeVore of Irvine, former Hewlett Packer CEO Carly Fiorina of Silicon Valley, and former Congressman Tom Campbell, also from the Silicon Valley. According to Examiner.com:

Fiorina is perceived to be the candidate that Senator Boxer would least likely want to run against. This was demonstrated by a Boxer spokesperson putting out a statement criticizing Fiorina as a “failed” business leader when her name merely entered the forum of speculation as a potential challenger last summer.

The California Republican Assembly has endorsed Chuch DeVore, from conservative Orange County. But they say they also like and respect Fiorina. Tom Campbell is not conservative enough for them. Californians should nominate a real conservative to run against Boxer. As the Examiner.com: article goes on to say about Boxer:

She is a tough and seasoned campaigner and has been fundraising for this particular election for years. With this in mind, the GOP has to be energized in taking her down and they need an effective candidate to lead that charge.

If Scott Brown can remind Massachusetts that the Kennedy family does not own a seat in the U.S. Senate, then any one of these three candidates can remind California that, despite registration statistics, a Democrat is not always (if ever) the one looking out for the state’s best interests.
