During his press conference on Thursday, President Obama was asked about the allegation of a job offer made to Congressman Joe Sestak, to keep Sestak out of the Senate primary against Obama's chosen candidate, Arlen Specter (who lost).
It seems the President does not want to discuss the allegation of a job offer. His friends in the media did not ask the question, but Major Garrett of Fox News was able to get the question in when the President called on him for the last question of the press conference. Byron York reports in the Washington Examiner that the normally long-winded President was very brief with his answer:
"I can assure the public that nothing improper took place," Obama said, echoing earlier statements from White House officials who denied any wrongdoing. "There will be an official response shortly." And that was that.
