Barbara Boxer asks her supporters to be as excited as Tea Party people

The San Francisco Chronicle reports on the California state Democratic Party Convention in Los Angeles, where Representative Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) said this:

"We're Democrats. We do not have to create a fake party organizing around fake issues."

But apparently Senator Boxer doesn't agree, since she's ready to impose a top-down excitement on her followers:

"I need you to be excited - as excited as the Tea Party people are," Boxer implored a morning gathering of 1,000 Democrats.
