Obama's White House bypasses media, provides its own coverage with official government video

President Obama promised to run the most open and transparent White House in history. Instead, this White House is increasingly closing itself off from coverage by traditional media.

From Politico:

Stepping up its efforts to bypass the traditional media, the White House released official, government created video of a bill signing President Barack Obama conducted in the Oval Office today — a bill signing the White House press corps was locked out of.

By shutting out media from such events, the President can avoid questions from reporters while stage-managing his own news coverage.
