It's about an inevitable increase in our National Debt

Most Americans believe the Democrats' proposed health care reforms will add trillions of dollars to the National Debt. Mort Zuckerman points out some costs our government can't afford to pay right now, nevermind adding on more.

Mort Zuckerman, via US News & World Report:

Medicare now has a $38 trillion unfunded liability; Medicaid is growing at 21 percent a year, suffocating state budgets. Yet the Obama administration is proposing the biggest expansion of federal healthcare guarantees in 40 years, adding trillions of dollars in obligations that we have no means to pay — indeed, when we have no idea of how to pay for the entitlements we already have.

The answer is for Congress to take a step-by-step approach, which is favored by a majority of Americans. But the Democrats continue to push ahead with their sweeping proposed expansion, complete with all the debt that will inevitably result. And all the while the President's approval rating continues to plummet.
