Democrats in a lose-lose-lose situation

They've managed to box themselves into a political dilemma, so that no matter what they do, they lose.

From the Sarasota Herald-Tribune:

The prolonged debate about health care reform in Congress is politically a lose-lose-lose situation for the Democrats. They lose if they pass a bill that the majority of the American people oppose, they lose if they don't pass anything since it will show they can't govern, and they lose if they prolong the debate when the American people are mainly concerned about the economy and jobs.
